Simple preparation method of PPm solution

In the process of using phytohormones, farmers often come across the term "ppm," which stands for parts per million. This is a way to express the concentration of a solution. For example, "20 ppm" means 20 parts of the hormone per million parts of the solution. To prepare a solution with a specific ppm concentration, it's common to start by making a stock (mother) solution. The method for preparing the mother liquor is as follows: take 1 gram of the original substance and dissolve it in enough water to make up 1 liter (1000 ml). This solution is considered to have a concentration of 1000 ppm. Once prepared, store the mother liquor in a cool, dry place to maintain its potency. When you need to create a diluted solution, simply take a measured amount of the mother liquor and add water to reach the desired volume. For instance, if you want a 20 ppm solution, take 20 ml of the mother liquor and dilute it with 980 ml of water to make 1 liter total. Similarly, for a 45 ppm solution, take 45 ml of the mother liquor and add 955 ml of water. This will give you a final concentration of 45 ppm. This method can be applied to create various concentrations by adjusting the amount of mother liquor used. It’s a simple and effective way to ensure accurate dosing when applying phytohormones. Always make sure to label your solutions clearly and follow safety guidelines when handling chemicals.
