Garlic prices have fallen by nearly 30% year-on-year over 30% since mid-March

Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, July 3rd, according to the Xinhua News Agency's national agricultural and sideline products and agricultural materials price system monitoring, compared with the previous day (the same below), on July 3, pork and aquatic products prices rose; beef and mutton prices rose Mainly; prices of edible oil, finished food, vegetables, and fruits fluctuate slightly; milk prices are basically stable.

Since mid-March, garlic prices have continued to fall as the new garlic has been listed. The monitoring data showed that compared with March 14, the national garlic price dropped by 47.3% on July 3. In terms of regions, garlic prices dropped by more than 50% in nearly half of the provinces, including Henan, Beijing, and Hebei, which were 70.8%, 70.0%, and 66.6% respectively. Compared with the same period of last year, garlic prices have dropped by 31.9%.

Of the 21 vegetables monitored, 8 prices rose, 9 prices fell, and 4 prices remained flat. Among them, Chinese cabbage, celery, rapeseed, lettuce, tomatoes, green beans, cabbage, and carrot prices rose between 0.3% and 1.2%; spinach, eggplant, potatoes, onions, kidney beans, sharp pepper, bitter gourd, garlic, and ginger prices fell. Between 0.4% and 2.3%; cucumbers, bell peppers, white radishes, and green onions prices were flat.
