Perennial tall herb, up to more than 1 meter, the whole plant with white powder, broken yellow juice after the outflow. Roots thick, thick, yellow. Stems erect, hollow cylindrical. Leaves alternate, leaves broadly ovate or suborbicular, 5-20 cm long, 5-24 cm wide, usually palmately 5--7-lobed, with few deeply lobed or divided, marginate or corrugated teeth, abaxially White powder. Inflorescences 15–40 cm long, many flowers; sepals 2, yellow-white, long 9 to 11 mm; apetalous; stamens 20–36; pistil 1, ovary narrowly elliptic, apex rounded, base narrow. Pods flattened, pendulous, oblanceolate or narrowly obovate, 1.7-2.2 cm long, red after maturity, white powder on surface, oblong seed, hard, brownish black surface and shiny. Flowering from June to August, fruiting period from August to October.
