Potatoes are annual herbaceous tubers, alias potatoes, artichokes, and yam eggs. Its tubers are rich in starch, mainly for food, vegetables and feed, and are also raw materials for light industry, chemical industry and food industry. Due to its rich nutrition and good taste, in recent years, storage in Zhejiang Province has been used to regulate the supply of off-season vegetables, enriching residents' vegetable baskets and increasing economic efficiency. The storage technology is introduced as follows. 1. Conditions for safe storage (1) Raw materials Select intact, disease-free tubers and spread them in a cool, ventilated place for 2-3 weeks to fully cork the epidermis, weaken the respiration and evaporation intensity of the tubers, and transfer them to dormancy. (2) The temperature and humidity of the commercial potato should be maintained at a suitable temperature and humidity after entering the pit. Stored in winter, the temperature in the pit is maintained at 1°C-5°C and the relative humidity is about 85%. Store in summer, pay attention to the shade and ventilation, and store in the basement and cellar. (3) Ventilation of commodity potatoes During storage, due to water evaporation and respiration of tubers, carbon dioxide, heat energy and moisture are deposited to increase the temperature and humidity. Keeping the ventilation in the pit can adjust the temperature and humidity in the pit, maintain the normal breathing of the potato, and improve the storage stability. (4) For the light-fed potatoes, the darkness in the pit should be kept. Seed potatoes can be properly translucent to enhance the resistance to external germs and inhibit the growth of young shoots. 2. Method of safe storage (1) The storage seed potatoes of seed potatoes are generally stored in indoor flat cellars. That is, in a cool and ventilated house, the original wall on the north side is used, and the other three sides are made of square bricks made of earth bricks, each 1 meter wide and 1 meter high and 3 meters long, and can store about 2,500 kilograms of potatoes. After the tubers are placed, they are covered with a layer of sand that is not wet and is about 10-15 cm thick. This method is safer. It can avoid the sun exposure and rain, and it is most suitable to store seed potatoes. (2) The storage of edible potatoes The consumption of edible potatoes is generally combined with the storage of drugs to inhibit the germination of tubers and maintain the edible qualities of tubers. The method is: Dissolve 98% of naphthalene acetic acid 150g in 300g of alcohol, and mix in 10-12. 5kg of powdered fine soil, mix well and put it in a thin linen or gauze bag, and evenly pluck like puff powder at 2500. Kilograms of potato chips. After the potatoes are stacked or packed, they should be covered with a layer of paper or linen. When the temperature is high, the soil should be changed once every two months. In addition, 0.06% naphthalene acetic acid solution was sprayed on the tuber, and the young potato did not germinate until harvested in the following year. 3. Management during storage During the storage period, in order to prevent the potato from shrinking, germinating, and maintaining good product quality, it is necessary to strengthen the management, and it is mainly divided into three phases: (1) In the early period, cooling, heat dissipation and dampness are the main factors. Always open the vents and ventilate as much as possible. (2) In the middle of the summer, the temperature dropped gradually, and the cellar and ventilation holes were changed to open during the day and opened or closed at night; at the same time, reasonable cellaring was carried out to remove diseased potatoes. (3) At the end of the year, the main purpose is to prevent cold and heat insulation. Because the cold and cold temperatures in winter are low, the tubers enter into deep sleep, and their breathing is vulnerable to freezing damage. At this time, cellar temperature should be checked frequently, and the cellar port and ventilation hole should be sealed. If necessary, a layer of rice straw can be covered with moisture to prevent freezing.
