The highest retail price of 53 kinds of digestive drugs fell by an average of 17% in May

The drug price adjustment involved a total of 53 varieties, more than 300 dosage form specifications, an average decline of 17%, of which high-priced drugs on average decreased by 22%, is expected to reduce the burden on the people each year more than 3 billion yuan.

The responsible person of the National Development and Reform Commission pointed out that since the reform of the medical and health system was deepened, the competent price departments at all levels have actively promoted the reform of drug prices in accordance with the requirements of medical reform, and the price order has gradually improved, and the price behavior has gradually become more standardized. With the deepening of medical reform, some deep-seated contradictions, such as institutional and structural issues, have begun to appear. The community has paid more attention to the issue of drug prices, and has also put forward new requirements and new expectations for drug prices. The National Development and Reform Commission will intensify the reforms, study the drug price management system adapted to the new situation of the medical reform, and further improve the price formation mechanism. At present, relevant work will be strengthened and improved from six aspects:

The first is to strengthen the investigation and monitoring of costs and factory prices, and lay the foundation for a reasonable determination of the ceiling price level. The second is to improve the pricing of medicines, to explore the use of drug economics for the exploration of certain drugs, and to price the price of international comparisons, and to try out unified pricing for some drugs. The third is to further increase the price reduction of high-priced drugs, especially to reduce the price of foreign drugs originally developed. Fourth, in line with the reform of the pharmaceutical production and circulation sector, efforts should be made to standardize the price behavior of drug circulation, promote the integration and optimization of pharmaceutical distribution companies, and encourage the development of a modern logistics industry. Fifth, establish a dynamic adjustment mechanism for drug prices, and adjust drug prices in a timely manner based on factors such as drug production costs and changes in market prices. Sixth, it is to study and implement price policies that encourage the research and development of drugs. For generic drugs that have reached international standards, support is provided for price policies.

National Development and Reform Commission officials pointed out that at present, China is fully implementing the new GMP reform and national drug standards improvement action plan, all localities should fully consider the drug manufacturers to implement the new version of GMP transformation and upgrade the cost of quality standards, when adjusting drug prices , properly grasp the price adjustment.
