Winter sheep need to feed

Sheep can be grazing all year round, but once the winter grasses dry up, the nutritional value is significantly reduced. Depending on the sheep kept in grazing, the straw that is eaten cannot meet the nutritional requirements in terms of quantity or quality. At the same time, as the weather is cold, the loss of thermal energy in the sheep body increases, resulting in insufficient nutrition for most sheep, slow growth of lambs, thin and weak constitution, low survival rate, poor development of young sheep, and low productivity of adult sheep. In order to change this situation, the most effective way to ensure the safety and safety of fetuses is to supplement the sheep in winter.

Before the arrival of feed forage in winter, a certain amount of forage and feed should be stocked. Generally, each sheep needs 300 to 500 kg of hay and 100 to 150 kg of concentrate. Feeding time starts from November until the beginning of the second year of May.

In the winter, sheep's fine feed is soybeans, bean cakes, Corn, barley, wheat bran, rice bran, and so on. The fine material must be crushed and the bean cake should be soaked and fed. In the concentrate, mixing 30% to 40% of high quality hay powder can increase the utilization rate of hay, help digestion and absorption, and also save feed.

Silage corn stalks, carrots, and feed sweeteners are also good feeds for winter sheep. Feeding these sheep with good juicy feed in the winter can fully supply sheep's sugar and various vitamins, and increase the amount of milk produced by the ewes. In particular, pregnant ewes feed three times in the early, middle and late nights, and feed the concentrate, silage, and stalk at the same time in the morning, noon, and evening respectively, which is beneficial to the absorption and utilization of nutrients.

Normally about 50 kg of adult sheep, each head needs to make up 1.5 to 2 kg of hay. After the flock is grazing, it will be supplemented and supplemented with concentrated feed and chopped root feed, and then evenly mixed together. Then add salt and stone powder, first sprinkled in the feeding trough, and then put the sheep into the circle for feeding; pregnant ewe day Each day, 1.5 kg of hay were fed, 1.5 kg of silage, and 0.5 kg of concentrate; each replenishment of ewes was 0.5-0.7 kg, 1.0-1.5 kg of hay, and 20 kg of juicy feed.

In addition, urea can be used as a nitrogen-containing additive supplementing insufficient winter forage protein content. It is best to mix it with sugar feeds. The average daily feed amount is 6-8 grams per day. It is advisable not to feed more to prevent poisoning.
