Solve the problem of lack of milk in ewes

First, the lamb is fostered. Ewes produce more lambs (or ewes died unexpectedly) after a single birth, and a litter of lambs can be distributed to lambs with fewer litters. In order to ensure the success of fostering, it is generally required that the date of delivery of the two ewes be within 5 days, and the individual weights of the two litter lambs are not very different. Lambs should be fostered at night, and before the fostering, the two litter lambs should be sprayed with syrup or alcohol, or with milk and urine from the foster ewes.

Second, breastfeeding in batches. If the number of suckling lambs exceeds that of the ewes, the lambs can be divided into two groups to take turns and breastfeeding. The lambs are grouped according to size and strength. When breastfeeding in batches, it is necessary to strengthen the feeding and management of nursing ewes so as to ensure that the ewes have a moderate level of nutrition, so that the ewes have sufficient milk. And do a good job on the early feeding of lambs and sucking lambs, to ease the ewes' breast-feeding burden, and ensure that the whole lamb grows in a balanced manner.

Third, feed artificial milk. Under the premise of guaranteeing that the lamb eats colostrum, the solution for short-term supplementary feeding can usually be 20% milk, 1% white sugar, 70% water dilute, boiled and then cooled to 37°C instead of goat milk to supplement the lamb; M Tonga sugar or soymilk plus sugar instead of goat milk is fed to the lamb. The artificial milk prepared by the above methods is not comprehensive in nutrition, and is only suitable for short-term use when a few lambs or ewes lack milk. If the number of lambs is large and the feeding time is long, a scientific artificial milk formula should be used. The lamb can use 50% wheat flour, fried soybean powder 17%, corn powder 12%, skim milk powder 10%, yeast 4%, sugar 4.5%, calcium powder 1.5%, salt 0.5%, trace element additive 0.5% before 20 days of age, cod liver oil 1 to 2 drops, add 5 to 8 times fresh water, stir well, boil and cool to about 37°C instead of milk to feed the lamb. After 20 days of age, the lamb can use 35% of corn flour, 25% of wheat flour, 15% of bean cake powder, 12% of fish meal, 7% of wheat bran, 3% of yeast, 2% of calcium powder, 0.5% of salt, and 0.5% of trace element additive. After adding water and stirring to feed lambs, the amount of added water gradually increased from little to even, and slowly transitioned to feeding lambs with dry materials.
