Preparation of concentrate
Concentrates include energy feeds, protein feeds, mineral feeds, trace (constant) elements and vitamins.
The energy feed is mainly corn, sorghum, barley, etc., accounting for 60% to 70% of the concentrate. Protein feed mainly includes bean cake (粕), cotton cake (粕), peanut cake, etc., accounting for about 20% to 25% of the concentrate. The amount of salt added in winter, spring and autumn accounts for 0.5% to 0.8% of the amount of concentrate, and the amount added in summer accounts for 1% to 1.2% of the amount of concentrate. When distiller's grains are used as the main roughage, baking soda should be added, which accounts for 1% of the amount of concentrate. When other roughages are fed, the amount of concentrate can be increased by 0.3% to 0.5% in summer.
Trace (constant) elements and vitamin additives can not be prepared by themselves. They need to be purchased from regular manufacturers. They should be used within the prescribed period according to the instructions. It is strictly forbidden to apply “three no†products.
Precautions for concentrate preparation
It is strictly forbidden to add additives, sex hormones, protein anabolic hormones, psychotropic substances, antibiotic filter residues and other drugs that are not allowed in the country. The additives and drugs allowed by the state should be added in strict accordance with the regulations. Meat and bone meal is strictly prohibited. The moisture content of the feed must not exceed 14%.
