Biogas digester winter maintenance

First, increase the feed. After entering the winter, the rate of decomposition of organic matter by the methane bacteria decreased, and the concentration of the fermentation broth needed to be increased. Therefore, it was necessary to increase the amount of feed than in summer. When feeding, sunny days should be selected, and the concentration can be appropriately increased to 10% to 15%. It is better to use a small amount of feed, do not feed too much at once, prevent acidification, and maintain a balanced production of gas.

Second, add raw materials. Before and after entering the winter, the normal operation of the biogas digester began to show a significant drop in gas production. Excluding the leakage factor, it indicated that raw materials were insufficient. Therefore, in addition to keeping the daily fresh human and animal dung into the pool, it is also necessary to add hot fermented raw materials such as dried silkworm sand, fresh cow dung, and fresh sheep dung to improve the pool temperature and accelerate decomposition. Dry silkworm sand and sheep manure must be fully immersed in biogas slurry before they can be put in. The input amount should not be too large. Care should be taken to screen out the lime in the dry silkworm sand.

Third, timely discharge. Biogas residue is a good organic fertilizer. It must be cleared in time in winter to ensure sufficient space for air storage. In particular, when the biogas digester is not fermented normally and the biogas meter is under pressure and the gas is not enough, the biogas slurry must be treated in a timely manner. When clearing the biogas slurry, pay attention to supplement the feed.

Fourth, fully stir. Every other week or so, in the sunny noon, use the slag cooler to move up and down about 20 times, or put 10 barrels of biogas slurry from the water pressure into the feed inlet, so that the raw materials and microorganisms can increase the chance of contact and promote the metabolism of microorganisms. Prevent dross crusting in digesters.

Fifth, control cold water. In winter, when the temperature and the water temperature are low, excessive cold water entering the pool will cause the temperature in the pool to drop too quickly, affecting the production of gas, or even not producing gas. Therefore, peasant households should adopt the method of rushing cold water, controlling toilets and excess cold water in the pigsty to enter the digester. In addition to the outdoor digesters, rain, snow, and other cold water should also be prevented from entering the pool.

Six, scientific insulation. Outdoor digesters must be covered and insulated. The method of heat preservation is to cover thick straw and straw on the surface of the cover of the biogas tank, and cover it with a thick plastic film to cover the heat; it is also possible to cover the surface of the biogas tank with a layer of soil or compost to prevent the biogas pressure from intertwining. Ice, in order to protect the digester and ensure normal fermentation; indoor digester at the onset of low temperatures, pay attention to close the doors and windows to prevent the temperature drop within the pool is too large.

Seventh, maintenance pipeline. Before entering the winter, check whether there is water accumulation in the pipeline. If there is accumulated water, pour it out in time and pick up the pipeline. Pay attention to the gas pipeline buried underground or with straw rope, rags, plastic film bandage to prevent freezing. Air leaks, aged pipes, and joints must be promptly replaced.
